Overview
I studied philosophy and literature at the University of Chicago. My thesis considered the (non-)interventions of literature and literariness, as shown in J. M. Coetzee's Elizabeth Costello, in ethics and particularly animal rights adjudication. I remain drawn to philosophical literature as well as literary philosophy. I am also interested in depictions of strangeness in the quotidian, of intimacy and estrangement intertwined, in a broader attempt to study the evolution of the family, work, and leisure in once-colonized spaces.
