Overview

Stephen Kim is a Ph.D. student in English Literature at Cornell University. He is pursuing graduate minors in Feminist, Gender, & Sexuality Studies and Science & Technology Studies. He is examining the ways poetry, rhetoric, and natural philosophy contributed to the formation of identity categories such as race, gender, and sexuality during the English Renaissance. In addition to early modern literature and culture, his teaching interests include Asian-American literature, science fiction, graphic novels, musicals, intergroup dialogue, and composition.
