Sanghoon Oh

Overview

Sanghoon Oh is a PhD Candidate in the Department of Literatures in English at Cornell University. Sanghoon is interested in exploring how technology, politics, and translation shaped the unique localization of artistic forms. Sanghoon’s research focuses on the circumstances that facilitated the adoption and transmission of literary forms in the 20th century, particularly the worldwide proliferation of free verse poetry between 1910 to 1930. Alongside the traditional techniques of literary analysis, Sanghoon’s research seeks to incorporate computational tools (for network and sentiment analysis) to expand the scope of prior research.
