English Minor Declaration Form

You may count courses taken at any point in your Cornell career. No first-year writing seminar counts, and you can count at most 4 credits from transfer, study abroad, independent study, or courses (where relevant) from another Cornell department. All courses must be taken for a grade.

Submit this form no later than the seventh week of your final semester before graduation.

 

English minor requirements

The minor in English requires completion of 5 courses of at least 3 credits each at the 2000-, 3000-, or 4000-levels. Students may distribute their courses as they wish among offerings in literature, creative writing, and critical writing/creative nonfiction. Those wishing to take four creative writing courses should minor in Creative Writing.
