Dept. of English Announces Spring 2021 Zalaznick Reading Series

Since its inception the Barbara & David Zalaznick Reading Series has brought some of the most exciting and innovative award-winning authors to Cornell to read from their work, a fact unchanged by the shift to virtual events in the 2020-2021 academic year. The Spring 2021 Barbara & David Zalaznick Reading Series: Together features an extensive roster of acclaimed speakers:

February 25: The Richard Cleaveland Memorial Reading featuring Valzhyna Mort (Poet & Translator) & Nafissa Thompson-Spires (Author)

March 11: Talk by Rita P. Davis (Executive Counsel)

March 18: The Eamon McEneaney Memorial Reading featuring Charif Shanahan (Poet)

April 8: Reading by Camonghne Felix (Poet, Writer, & Political Strategist)

April 22: Reading by Susan Choi, MFA ’95 (Novelist & Winner of the National Book Award)

April 29: Reading by Carolyn Forché (Poet & Memoirist)

Events are on Thursdays and start at 7:00 pm ET. Each reading or talk is followed by a Q&A segment, during which students, faculty, and the public have an opportunity to interact with the speakers.
