Dr. Chelsea Mikael Frazier is a black feminist ecocritic – writing, researching, and teaching at the intersection of black feminist theory and environmental thought. As Founder and Creative Director at Ask An Amazon, she designs educational tools, hosts community gatherings, lectures, and provides consulting services for Black Feminist Fuel for Sustainable Futures. She is also a faculty member in the English Department at Cornell University and, in the fall of 2021, she will begin her tenure as an Assistant Professor of African American Literature.

She is currently working on her first book manuscript – an eco-critical study of contemporary black artists, writers and activists.
