Overview
Carolina Elices is a first-year PhD student in the Department of Literatures in English. Her research focuses on depictions of eco-grief, architectural conservation, and environmental conservation in nineteenth-century British literature. She is particularly interested in considering how nineteenth-century conceptions of place and conservation might help us renegotiate our contemporary understanding of the relationship among architecture, nature, and humanity.
