Overview
Christopher Hewitt earned his BA and MA from Stanford where he discovered James Merrill and began to write his own poems. A hummingbird and drag queen enthusiast, he loves anything that glitters and glows. His poetry often reflects this magpie sensibility. Although he has dipped a literary toe into queer theory, his chief research interest is formal poetry, especially anything considered Romantic or Aesthetic. Thematically he tends to engage with memory, myth, family, transience, and beauty.
