Roshon S. Nandhra

Overview

Roshon S. Nandhra is a PhD candidate and Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC) doctoral fellow in the Department of Literatures in English at Cornell University.

Drawing from Lacanian psychoanalytic theory, comparative mythology, and contemporary French philosophy, his research investigates Georges Dumézil’s bipartite conception of sovereignty (divided into the juridical and the magical), its remain(der)s, and its implications for situating the structural consistency of the real authority of law as an unfolding question of mythical origins.
