Overview
Timi Sanni is a writer, editor, and multidisciplinary artist from Lagos, Nigeria. He holds a BSc in Biochemistry from Lagos State University. His works include poetry, fiction, and essays, and have appeared in Black Warrior Review, New Delta Review, Four Way Review, Cincinnati Review, The Rumpus, Poet Lore, and ONLY POEMS. He is the winner of the 2021 Anita McAndrews Poetry Award, the 2024 JAY Lit Prize for Poetry, and was a finalist for the 2025 Sillerman First Book Prize for African Poets. His debut poetry chapbook, The Ordinary Affair of Being Human, was selected by Professors Kwame Dawes and Chris Abani for the New-Generation African Poets Box Set and is forthcoming from Akashic Books in 2025.
